Firstly, thank you for taking the time to be a little inquisitive about us! Who are we? We're a student film crew bringing you... a film. (Please, do laugh!) We'll jump back on the humour later, but for now we'd like to introduce the world to a film that is important and creates a narrative of forwardness, for the African woman. 'Witches' consists of great deal of subtext that is integral to the progression of how women and culture are viewed and have been viewed in society through time. The focus is of course placed on African women. The detriments of the expectations of black women through the centuries to the present has unfortunately paved a gravel way for their footprints to land upon. There is beauty in the way that women rise from every detriment and there is beauty in the way women preserve, keep, protect, and become.
